Lourdes is a special place in many respects. So special that people come from all around the World to pray a Lady who in 1858 appeared to a young local girl named Bernadette Soubirous.
In the small city located in the South of France, close to the Pyrenees mountains, every year, from Eastern to end of October, millions of people come in pilgrimage.
Pilgrims gather to pray in front of the Grotto.
In 1858, Bernadette and her family had found a shelter in a tiny place called le Cachot, a place that had been used earlier on as a prison.
