Lourdes is a special place in many respects. So special that people come from all around the World to pray a Lady who in 1858 appeared to a young local girl named Bernadette Soubirous. In the small city located in the South of France, close to the Pyrenees mountains, every year, from Eastern to end of October, millions of people come in pilgrimage.
In 1857, Bernadette and her family had found a shelter in a tiny place called le Cachot, a place that had been used earlier on as a prison. On the 11th of February 1858, as she was looking for some wood with her sister Toinette and a friend Jeanne, she saw « something » (« aquero ») in the Grotto.
